With the imminent launch of Google's latest Pixel devices, the frequency of leaks has surged. Following a recent leak regarding the US pricing, the UK pricing details for the Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and Pixel Watch 2 have now surfaced. Renowned tipster Roland Quandt shared these pricing details on X.com, formerly known as Twitter.com.
Pixel 8 and 8 Pro Pricing Leaks in the UK
The anticipated retail prices for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro in the UK are £699 and £999, respectively. When compared to the previous generation, the Pixel 7, which was priced at £599, and the Pixel 7 Pro, with an £849 price tag, the new models appear to be positioned at a slightly higher price point. Furthermore, there's a $100 price differential between the US and UK retail prices for the new Pixel 8 Series.
Pixel Watch 2 Pricing
As for the Pixel Watch 2, it is expected to retail for £349 in the UK, representing a £10 increase over the initial Pixel Watch's price. It is likely that the new Pixel Watch 2 will be available in the same three case colors as its predecessor: Black, Silver, and Gold.
It's important to note that these prices have not been officially confirmed by Google, so they should be taken with a grain of skepticism.
Pixel 8 and 8 Pro Specifications according to Leaks
In terms of features, recent leaks, including a promotional video, have revealed almost every detail about the upcoming Pixel 8 Series. The Pixel 8 is expected to feature a dual-rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP primary wide-angle lens and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Meanwhile, the Pixel 8 Pro is set to include an additional 48MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom capability. Both smartphones will share a 10.5MP selfie camera.
Enhancing the performance and efficiency of these devices, the Tensor G3 chip is expected to play a pivotal role. In addition to the new hardware improvements, Google is introducing numerous software-based features to enhance the functionality of the Pixel 8 series.
